HISTORY LESSON: The First Continental Congress ended with the decision to boycott goods from England if the taxes were not waived, as well as the agreement to reconvene in May if an agreement had not been reached.

The previously suggested Galloway plan, which recommended the formation of a legislative body, was scrapped, but a letter was composed by John Jay to try and convince England to see things their way.
